CHALLENGE  With Edmonton facing global challenges like cost of living and climate change at a local scale, the Mayor saught to present his work and vision for the future of the city while balancing current issues. The audience of the main address is the business sector, but the Mayor had a goal to bring the ideas in his speech to everyday Edmontoinans.

SOLUTION  Starting with the annual address, the State of the City was expanded into a series of public panels and focused round tables. The Mayor has a special power to bring people together to solve issues and this was a key tool used in the 2023 State of the City campaign.
